Thrilled to be hitting the glorious city of Kilkenny on Friday the 8th of December. We play The Bowery and we have support from local band The Wha. And the gang of deadlies that run the Bowery have promised a free pint for the 1st 30 people in the door on the night - how cool is that (Youth Mass promote sensible drinking).
All the gig details are on this Facebook event page below
See you there Kilkenny

Thanks to everyone who came to the midnight hour on Friday, the place was jammed, and the atmosphere was unreal, we're still buzzing.
Big shout to Caoimhe in Gardiner Management and also Dave and the chaps in Whelan's, top night.
Also the support act, Segrasso, 4 lads from Dublin, they were excellent, we'd play with them again for sure, check 'em live if ya have a chance. https://www.facebook.com/SegrassoOfficial/
Also big love to Aaron from Aetherlight Photography for trying to make us look less of a shower of bellends than we actually are - a truly uphill struggle in anyone's book. https://www.facebook.com/AetherlightPhotography/
We'll share Aaron's handy work later in the week, however, check out the awesome shot of Willy, cool as shit.

This Whelan's gig should be awesome, we're always really well looked after by Dave and the team in Whelan's, plus, come midnight, people are a little looser and kinda dance their rocks off, its so much fun.
All dates and support acts to follow, in the mean time we've an event page you an join up to just here. https://www.facebook.com/events/1778202278887945/

So thrilled to share this news with you. Body & Soul have asked us to play their main stage on Saturday evening at this years festival. We're so happy, it's one of the best weekends of the year, and the natural amphitheatre that is their main stage is so cool to hang out in, never mind play. We played that stage a few years ago and had such a buzz, dying for it again.

Thanks so much to Pure M magazine for letting us ruin them for ever by putting our ugly mugs on their lovely publication. They'll surely regret it some day, in the meantime, we'll just ride this fame wave.
Our front man Darren has the chats inside too, a full 2 page spread no less, where he talks about highs and lows, about love and loss, he doesn't hold back (well there's not a whole lot of that but he mentions the gig in The Workman's for sure).

Choice quote: Third track on the album is ‘Dream On’, an absolute belter of a track that should be on some sort of AIB advert or intro to a reality TV show because of the catchy riffs and bass line that would suit someone staring into the distance in a self-reflecting pose. Dream On, our first single from the debut album is out today!! Produced by Shane Cullen and recorded in K9 Studio; its available right now on iTunes and wherever else you get your music.
There is a b-side there too called First Kiss, sure you may as well download that while you're at it. The two songs only cost 99c so you've got no real excuse not to part with your cash!
Oh and here's the video for Dream On in case you haven't seen it yet.
Thanks for all your support!

Last summer we were invited by Red Shoe Productions and Una Mullally to go to TG4’s studio in Spideal and record a few songs for their programme Ceol ar an Imeall. You can find out tonight how we got on with our first TV appearance airing at 11.30! It’s repeated tomorrow night at 9.00 for the early birds among us. We loved our time in Galway and were treated really well by TG4 and the crew. Thanks to Una, Gina, Eoin and the whole production team for making the experience so pleasurable for us.
Check out some behind the scenes action below!

Welcome to our brand new website!
It will be here where you can get all the up to the minute news and happenings with Youth Mass. Its going to be hopefully a very busy 2014 for all of us here in YM Towers, so the website will be updated very regularly.
Don't forget to check out our Ask Youth Mass section, where people get the opportunity to ask us whatever the hell they want. The questions are usually very stupid, as are the answers, so make sure you check in there regularly too.
The first piece of news we have for you is that the lead single from our debut album is going to be called Dream On. Produced by Shane Cullen in K9 Studio, it will be released on 28th February through all the usual channels.
We would like to say a huge thanks to Julia Campisi for all the artwork she allowed us to use for our effort. The first time I saw her work, I was in love, so its amazing to be able to use her stuff on our sounds.
Before I go I just want to say that Its a relief that the album is finished and nearly ready to be released.
For us, it has been a long process giving birth to this album. From writing it, rehearsing it and to finally recording it, I'm surprised there hasn't been any casualties along the way! We've been living with this album for the last two years, we've put everything into it, so when it comes out it will no longer be our cross to bear, that burden will be yours!
Talk to you soon
