SING UP FOR THE BOYS IN GREEN

We're delighted to announce that we've contributed a song, Sea of Green, to Indiecater Records upcoming compilation Sing Up For The Boys In Green.

The compilation consists of 11 tracks by Irish acts: My Brother Woody, The Holy Roman Army, Ginnels, The Very Most, Grand Pocket Orchestra, The Depravations, Adam and Darcie, Ican Ican't, Lightfinder and yours truly.

It's an excellent collection of songs honouring the boys in green and can be downloaded from Band Camp from the 23rd of April anseo.

FREE MUSIC: TRIM PRODUCER JOHNNY PLUSE ANNOUNCES FREE REMIX ALBUM

Just in time for Christmas, Trim man Johnny Pluse is offering us all a free remix album titled This Will Twist Your Heads... What a man. It's a mashup of remixes from various artists such as Vampire Weekend, Nirvana, The Chemical Brothers, Ian Brown, Blondie and loads more. Download it for free here

Our man Johnny has been on the scene for as long as I remember. He's considered a bit of a legend around these parts and spend more than one minute with him and you'll be pissing yourself laughing. 

Johnny started his label Bulabeats back in 2005 to put out his debut LP 'Funky 5 Years Ago'. He's been mixing it up with the gliteratti ever since (sure didn't fashion designer Marc Jacobs use Pluse's tracks to launch his Winter Collection during New York Fashion Week last year).

His last album 'Lasers, Lasers, We Need More Lasers' even had a guest appearance from Darren and Nev on it.

TOMORROW NIGHT: THE SPIRIT STORE IN DUNDALK WITH BOY LIGHTS FIRE

We've been asked to play with the wonderful Boy Lights Fire in Dundalk tomorrow night.

We first bumped into these boyos when they played at Hard Working Class Heroes this year at The Workmans Club. Their live show is very impressive as is their EP Weatherman which you can check out here. I have been listening to this on rotation in the car since i got it (Trevor Is Our Friend is savage!) and dead excited to see them again.

Also playing is Take The Money And Run who i'm looking forward to checking out (it's their first gig in nine months bejaysus!)

Anybody i know who's played The Spirit Store has said it's their favourite venue in Ireland. So there's a bit of expectation there!
